I’m really happy to share this new painting with you. This one took something out of me… in a good way.
I found myself slowing down and really sitting with the mood, especially in the sky. Letting it move from darker tones into light, and not rushing that transition. The mountains, the water, everything started to fall into a dramatic evening.
With the sky and water moving together, there’s a quiet rhythm that runs through the painting…almost like the story is unfolding on its own. There’s a tension in it… but also a softness.
Life has felt a bit intense for a while now and I can see that in this piece. I don’t try to force meaning into my work, but it always finds its way in.
Lately, I’ve started to feel a shift into little more ease; a little more peace. This painting feels like that moment to me—the edge of something heavy, just beginning to lift.
